My husband currently is living with me right now in the US and working full time.. He will be going up to Canada sometime in July to look for work and go to interviews. SO the question is are you employed??? the answer for us is YES here in the US but NO in Canada so which do we put?? We are also attaching our W2s from 2012 but they are from the US Hubby has to go up to Canada to get a job.. Which is it we put??

He has a job now so he is employed. The questions arent trying to trick you. He has a job so you put yes. Just make sure your application shows that you are intending to move to canada!

you can also attach a note to the application explaining that he is employed in the U.S. and your intentions to find work in Canada.

Nothing better than clarification when you think things might get muddled. Just put the form number (IMMxxxx) and your name as a header so they know which part of the application it belongs to (they take all staples and paperclips out when they receive it so things can get shuffled).

hope this helps!
