Hi Catherine,

Based on EG7/Application Guide, 3 years is 19 pts and 4 years is 21 pts so if you are between 3-4 yrs, I think it will fall under 19 pts but DO note that years of work experiences are counted ONLY if it falls under Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A or B and must have occurred during the 10 years before the date of application. If you have determined that your 5+ years work experience falls on these skill type/level then thats 21 points for you.

You may refer to the HRSDC website for further information on these skills/experiences.

I got a follow up question on the same concern, Can I still earn the points even if the company has ceased operation?

Yes, definitely. I also spent more than 4 years with a Company that ceased operations. You can just provide supporting documents like payslips, employment contracts, etc. That's what I did with mine. Also, per instructions from the Visa Office Checklist - if employers could not provide then applicants can just write his/her own certificate indicating job descriptions, work hours, salary and benefits and stating the reason why previous employers cannot provide COE.

Hi to all people in this thread, I actually belong to the pre- June 26 applicants. But I could see that the people here are responsive to the queries of their members.

Anybody, with kind heart who could advice me as to how much points I could actually earn from my work experience. I applied under NOC0111 Financial Manager which I worked from April 2007 - present, short for a 4 years experience. (BTW, deadline for 120 days is on Feb 4 2010) BUt I do have a previous work experience as a bookkeeper for 2 years which is not under the Ministerial instruction that time but belongs to NOC.

So, Do I get 19 pts or 21 pts?

To be eligible, you need a least one year work experience on the MI w/in the last 10 years.
*To meet the work experience criteria, you only need to have work experience in NOC 0, A, B w/in the last 10 years.

* applies to pre-June 26 and post June 26 appl

Hi Twilightgirl! Thanks - it's ok, understand. I'm a bit worried about the JD which I submitted, I posted it somewhere here in this forum because I am reading different views from the other thread focusing on 1122 Applications.

Hi there!

No, the JD was written/prepared by my previous employer/HR Manager. I shared with them the required JD of NOC 1122 and they tried to capture the highlights of it without altering much the Company's standard JD of my previous role. Have you had the chance to read it?

My brother who did pay a Consultant/Lawyer (based in Canada) to help with their application didn't yield a positive result so we decided to do it ourselves without help.

Do you mind telling me what agency did you seek assistance? Because you know my agent is saying different thing, she says that the number of years of experience is based only on the job under the MI and the rest is just a a work history and would not earn me point at all. I was asking her to enhance my bookkeeper job description because initially its just a summary when we send it to CIO and then she told me we that we don't need to as this will have no bearing at all. I'm really so disgusted!

But still,it really bothers me a lot upon knowing the Cap for nurses almost reach or half the target work force today. I hope,you can answer my queries and share your thoughts and opinion.

Hi kimwayne! If you sent your docs through fedex you can track it sa website nila just enter your tracking number and makikita mo dun yung details and kung sino nagreceive ng docs mo.
