Filipino in Canada Visiting Los Vegas

I have a friend that is here on work permit and will be going to Los Vegas he has US visa to enter however he will return to Canada on the 28th of Sept and his Canadian Visa will expire on the 30th of Sept. He has application in for a new Canadian Visa already but it hasnt been processed yet.

Will he have problems re entering Canada.

As long as he visits only the US and then comes back to Canada, he does not need a re-entry visa. There should be no problems re-entering Canada.

If you have a single-entry temporary resident visa, you will generally need a new single-entry visa to come back to Canada.
You can request to return to Canada on your original single-entry temporary resident visa, if:

• you will only visit the U.S. or St. Pierre and Miquelon; and
• you will return to Canada before the end of your approved stay in Canada.
