filing taxes, no status

hello,
I searched the forums but couldnt find the right answer sorry if it has been answered already. If My husband and I got married in the summer of 2017, he had no status in canada at the time. We've since sent in the application for PR. he has yet to be granted a work permit again so he has no income. Do i claim him as a dependent? he has a SIN from when his work permit was valid. Anyone know how I can find this answer?

same situation . I claimed married and only had to provide his name. no sin. his is expired. then had to write a letter stating his world income ( for my child tax) which I just said was 0.
