My wife and I have filed our cases through a Consultant (India). Our AOR date is 13 August 2018. The Consultant has given us our AOR letter bearing File number.
Is there a way to check/track status of our case without going through our Consultant?
You can speak with the IRCC call center agent. You need to have patience(that's the most important thing) because you may have to call multiple times. You need to have your Application#, UCI#(they may ask for additional verification) handy.
