File with ND since long time (Almost 7 months now)

Hi, Please note that my file is with ND since 7 months now, so i have emailed them to know the updates so in return i have received below email.

Could experts please put some lights on this and advice??

I think it means that your file it's not yet in the process but will pe soon and they will let you know about the next steps concerning your visa.

Well, when file got transffered in August 2011, status was reflecting "Application Received" and after a months it got changed to "In Process" and text was like "We started processing your application in September 2011"

And suddenly in January status got changed back to "Applicatoin Received".

you should contact your MP office, ND will have to reply to MP office within 48 hours. i think its taking long because of applicants travel history.
can you please tell me about applicants travel history and work history?
number of countries visited out of india and for how long?
i hope you will hear something goood soon

Yes, ashunandal is right, probabelly takes longer than usual becouse of the travel history, living in more than one country for more than 6 months, could be an issue, but not damages your applications whatsoever.

you dont need to worry its BC only and no one cant tell you exactly how long it will take but they should mention "awaiting background check" on your ECAS.
yes you should contact your MP as soon as possible and keep us update. i am also in same situation (spent 16 months in UK) dont know how long it will take to complete BC

AS in, i have recently posted on this forum, what i have received from Embassy when i emailed them.

They replied,
Your application is currently awaiting review by a visa officer. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly.


It says that currently awaiting review by a visa offier, does it mean that they have done with Background Checks and only waiting for Visa Offier to confirm it?? please advice if anyone of you know???

yes there is a thread for NEW DELHI applicants in this form and there are many cases stuck in BC for more than 7-8 months maybe 1 year. you can ask them there.

yes spouse sponsership, my wife is canadian citizen and living in india with me on visitor visa

Thats really good atleast you living with your Wife...

My File got transffered to New Delhi in Jun 2011 and it has started processing in September 2011 and since then i'm waiting waiting and waiting...

In last 7 months EMbassy sent me letter 3-4 times for additional documents which i have submitted them. they asked me to send them my residence proof and educational and work documents which i have already sent them in November..

So hopefully their Background check should have been done by now, so let see what happens next!!
