File transfer from Buffalo- New york visa office- share timeline

Really, should it be email or post mail? And the status should be "In Process" before they sending out the Med Req, right? Can you cite "some posts" here, plz?

though medicals request is normally by email, there are some which are requested via snail mail... like mine.

Please update my details up here. My status changed to in process on 28th May and i havent heard anythn after that...just waiting on medicals. Mine and jstar 's file was transferred the same day to NY from Buffalo.

I got my medical request yesterday - 11th August...exactly 90 days after my file was transferred to NY from Buffalo (11th May 2010). I recall my letter stated that the visa office will not be able to provide with any status updates during this time. The medical documents were dated 5th Aug 2010.

Congrats Anil_Toronto...thats a great news...gives hope that NY VO is still active ...Can you share when did your case status changed to 'IN PROCESS'?

I got my medical request yesterday - 11th August...exactly 90 days after my file was transferred to NY from Buffalo (11th May 2010). I recall my letter stated that the visa office will not be able to provide with any status updates during this time. The medical documents were dated 5th Aug 2010.

Guys,

Almost 4 weeks since medicals reached Ottawa. No update from NY VO. Can someone advise on how I can contact them to ask if they have received my medical from Ottawa.. Will they reply to phone or email? If so, what is the number or email address..

Getting uneasy with each passing day. Still not assuming that I will get the PR either. I'm a strong believer in 'If anything can go wrong, it will'!!

Couple of cases got some related emails

1. Actually the applicant has rasied a query in ECAS and got the reply in email reg medical forms

Congrats ANIL, Mine was transffered to NewYork VO on May 26th, and changed to in Process from Jun 16th , so as per ur case i shud be getting Medicals sometime in next two weeks, Hope the same

Please let me know if they have asked for any extra documentations and what is the time period given to submit the medicals back

I was asking the same question on the other thread, I think the Ecas status is still "RCVD by VO" for him all the way.

Hi All,

Yea my status changed to in process on 28th May 2010. I got a notification on email that my file is being transferred to NY from Buffalo on 11th May. Until 27th May the status on e-cas showed as "Received by Visa office".

Once they begin processing the file, the status usually changes to In-process.

Will keep sharing my updates.
