I (SOWP) and spouse (SP) arrived in Canada at the end of December 2023. During that time we had a SIN number, rented a house, no job. I have a few questions as follows:
1. Do we need to file a tax return?
2. What is my residency status? Non-residents or residents
As far as I research, we are non-resident (because we have not established significant residential ties with Canada and have been in Canada for less than 183 days).
