Hey SohailArif,

I don't know much about this, but as I know if you can justify this change in the SOP they will issue you visa.

I know someone who choose a course in a totally different field and was able to get the student permit, he had some strong reason for this change

(eg : have a family business and you can support that business with this education)

Hi, well my father works in UAE, we don't have any business, my father is doing job in UAE, I heard that project management is a universal course and can be done by any technical degree holder. Is that right?

Ya you will definitely get selected to a course. what you have to convince is the Visa officer

Read some SOPs. You will understand what you have to explain.

Yes, it will definitely increase chances of rejection. How does someone go from Geophysics to project management as a field? Unless you are have managerial experience that is

Yeah I understand that, I already have an offer letter for September intake. Do you have any SOP's?

My program is research based and I don't want to do research based masters, one reason I am not interested in that, the other reason is it's hard to get admission in research based Programs without any publications etc, and I also want to change my field because of job prospectus, so do I stand any chance for Visa if I explain all of this in SOP?

You have a chance sure but you could look at this forum alone, many have been rejected for educational background not making sense. Recently, a marketing guy was rejected from pursuing business analytics for the very same reason and these fields are alot more connected than what you are aiming for. If you want to take a chance, that is up to you. I would advise a field that is slighter closer to your Bachelor's

I understand, could you suggest me any program? I'm unable to find any diploma programs related to my field though, but I have seen engineering students getting admitted in project management programs and getting visa too. Most of the Indian students opt for Project management after their B tech electrical, mechanical etc.
