Hi all.
I am a fourth year university student and will be graduating in this April.
So..I have a few questions regarding to IELTS test and medical check.
(1) First of all,, how should I prepare for IELTS test? Any suggestion on the ways in which one should study?
(2) Secondly, when I tried a self-assessment test, I was 1 point below 67. Should I learn French in order to get that extra 1 point (I do not know anything about French at this point...)?
(3) Regarding to getting a medical examination, "You must pass a medical examination before coming to Canada. Your dependants must also pass a medical examination even if they are not coming with you." is written on the Canada Immigration Web Site. Is that mean all my family (including my parents and my brother) should also pass a medical examination?

I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks!

I have been working in a lab at my university (but only during summer). However, I will be getting a permanant job offer from my professor after my graduation (as her laboratory assistance).

You realize that laboratory assistance isn't on the list of "29" jobs for immigration? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list You should determine if you qualify first, and then read the instructions if you do.
