Few letters of my name are missing in my edu certificates compared to passport

Hi All ,

I am trying for Canada PR and i am in initial stage of getting assessment of my education certificates , i found that there are two letters missing on my education certificates when compared to name in passport , will my certificate assignment gets rejected ? , i heard that we can file affidavit , where we mention that the name in certificates and name in passport are the same . It would be great help for me if you can provide me the procedure or the content that i can use for affidavit , please help me on this .

I think it will be easier to update the education certificate?

thanks for the reply , i need to change in +2 , Degree and Post graduation and i think its a time consuming , so i was positive for affidavit . please help me .

Hello Seniors,

I also have the same issue. My mother name is different in some documents. I am planning to apply for Ontario PNP.

She has a Nickname "A" and She has an Official name "K".
My 1st Passport has her nick name "A". (on the basis of her nickname "A" in my 12th Marksheet, Certificate & 10th Certificate)
So I got New Passport (2nd Passport) in which I got her name changed to her official name "K". (on the basis of my Birth-certificate "K", and 10th Marksheet "K")

My question is:
Do I need to rectify my 12th Marksheet,cert. & 10th certificate (cos they still got her nick name "A") OR
Can I submit an affidavit about her name change along with proofs such as "Old & New Passports" and "10th Marksheet".

Note: In 10th Marksheet, it is "K" and in 10th Certificate it is "A", courtesy of CBSE.
Note: I have misplaced the newspaper article used earlier for name change in passport.

Usually you can submit an affidavit, however if its only on one or two paystubs, it can be ignored.

I was asking, if the pay stubs are from a Canadian Employer or outside Canada? Cause if its outside Canada, you must be supporting your application with Income Tax documents and Reference letters. If yes, you will not have any problem.
