Few Important Questions that I believe most of us can relate with

Hey Asivad/Star members,

I have few Post - ITA questions that might have already been answered but I am very sure it won't harm to take a look again especially for folks who have recently received ITA like myself.

Work Experience - Some of the companies I worked with (in India) are refusing to add the number of hours worked in a week. However, the letters do state that I worked on a permanent and full time basis. Should that suffice or should an LOE be included. Also, for compensation, could the original offer letter (with compensation details) be attached in lieu of a tax statement? These questions are all for international work experience.

NOC job code - My Canadian work experience doesn't exactly match with the NOC code my company (about 60% match) has provided for my job role. However, they say the NOC codes are pre-decided for all the jobs within the company and can not be changed. I have a letter with job description and NOC code in it. Could this be an issue?

Proof of fund - I declared $18K originally but I think 16K seems more accurate given my average balance for last 6 months. Can I change it to 16K post ITA?

Education - Can I delete my spouse's education for which I did not claim any points. I know some say keep it but few other members suggest deleting it.

Intended Work in Canada - Again mixed responses. Yes/No. I have a non-LMIA job in Canada. Should I say No to escape the hassles of uploading docs that I don't have in the first place.

Apologize in advance for some of these questions have already been asked a lot of time.

That would suffice. Include an LOE if you're adding multiple documents and want the officer to focus on specific areas of any particular document. Make sure that all documents for a particular employment are internally consistent. A job offer letter can be used instead of tax statements.

If the reference letter explicitly mentions the NOC, not a problem.

Proof of fund - I declared $18K originally but I think 16K seems more accurate given my average balance for last 6 months. Can I change it to 16K post ITA?

If the required funds in your case is below 16K, you can change it now.

Education - Can I delete my spouse's education for which I did not claim any points. I know some say keep it but few other members suggest deleting it.

Yes. CIC isn't asking for full disclosure in these sections. If it doesn't get you points, it doesn't need to be in there at all.

Intended Work in Canada - Again mixed responses. Yes/No. I have a non-LMIA job in Canada. Should I say No to escape the hassles of uploading docs that I don't have in the first place.

Answer No to that question. The extra document requirements disappear. Fairly clear indication that that answer should be Yes only if one holds an LMIA supported job. Not exactly logical but this is CIC you're dealing with.

Thanks Asivad. When you say " all the documents should be internally consistent", do you mean that they have all have one format? So for instance, one should not have number of hours/week in it while other letter have it. Did I get that right?

I mean that they should broadly agree on the facts of the case and not contradict each other.
