As the information above says, it is made in the name of THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA, payable in Canada in Canadian Dollars. You don't need an address or their bank name to make the DD.

Credit cards are risky, especially some one else's. What if it is expired or lost ? They will only make one attempt. Getting a DD made is a 10 min job in any bank.
