I have a question: my employer agreed to help me with the employer form, but my company immigration lawyer informed that they have to pay 2000$ is that so ? If yes , then can I pay it from my side ? I tried to check the employer requirements and it's not mentioned about the fees. Can someone please help with proper documentation?

I paid $1,500 for application fees 15 months ago.

An immigration lawyer will make some money out of it. $500 doesn't sound out of the ordinary, I've seen others charging more. Still, make sure this is a reliable immigration lawyer and that they won't steal your money.

What do you mean by "my employer agreed to help me"? Is this help providing the necessary forms or are they paying for the application?

Actually I don't mean the fees for the lawyers, I mean that - does my employer have to pay any fees to IRCC? My employer will obviously not charge from me, since the immigration lawyer is in house from my company.

Cost to apply
The application fee is $1,500 and covers the cost of processing your application.

$1500 isn’t a lawyer fee.

ask them for a printout showing it’s an IRCC fee
