Yea It was pretty quick for us.
One question for you.....we need to send following please check if I am missing out something:
2 pictures each 35*45(I was confused about size bit)
Passports
Bio-data form
RPRF already paid but I am sending copy of receipt.
Prepaid envelope.

I didnt need to send biodata form because of my citizenship. In the letter, it should say that rprf is paid and they have it in their record, you shouldnt need to send it. But if u want to resend the receipt, no harm. Pictures is PR card pictures size. If you go to jean coutu or pharmaprix, ask for PR card pictures size, they should know it. And ya, prepaid envelope.

If the address is still the old address, you can go to post office and ask for forwarding mail service. It costs about 170$/year but it might be worth it

now when you get back your passport and copr (confirmation of permanent residence)you have three options for landing . we do landing to become official permanent resident of Canada. your pr card is applied during landing and will de delivered direct to given (home)address.
1) you go your home country or any other country (if you have visa)and come back and do landing at the canadian airport.
2)you go to the nearest US border . At the border tell US immigration officer that you want just do landing/flagpoling. they know the procedure they will give you a letter which you have to give to the canadian immigration for landing process.this method is the best one (economically and less time, same day). you dont need visa for United state for this process.
3)you call an inland immigration office(montreal 1010 St-Antoine West,2nd Floor,Montréal, QC H3C 1B2 ) and make an appointment for landing . but you may get an appointment in 6-12 weeks .

I was wondering what about sin card the one we have with us is temporary sin card so when we can apply for the other one after getting PR card or we can apply for with with Copy of landing paper also? As I assume PR takes 1-2 months once application made for it.

Alright thanks alot for the information I think by the time we will get our new sin cards it will be next year so it will be easy for us to file taxes on one sin card. And 1 more thing is it necessary to apply for new medical card or we can carry the old one till it expires?
