Plus i think you are married to a Canadian if i'm not wrong ... so all of that can explain your fast processing
ya, my husband is Canadian. But I'm not sure if this does anything with it. They didn't ask anything from him though. It just proves that I will stay in Quebec for sure because his family lives in Montreal. Oh, my city of destination is Saguenay (a smaller city 2hr north from Quebec City). Plus, I am single application (no dependents), so they only check for my history not anyone else.

I have been living in Canada for 10.5 years. I dont have to do any security check anywhere but Canada itself. I didn't even send a police certificate. Maybe that's why my application is fast. Imagine, I spent 10.5 years of frustrating and money.... A lot of money for my school fee and documents. I'm an expert in study permit and work permit for international student now >.< (and this is not cool). I wish you luck though. Everyone has their own faith (I believe in destiny).
Sorry if you thought my comment was aimed at you (judging by you quoting me) - it really wasn't. One of my colleagues is also an immigrant. She applied as soon as she arrived in Quebec and she has her COPR already, even though she applied in May. Our situation is the same: same job, same NOC code, both single with no dependents, both from the UK, both currently residing in Sept-Iles and naming it as our intended location after PR, etc. Hers isn't the first example I've heard of (I'm also on British Expats and Trackitt) and I just find that very frustrating but it must be even worse for applicants from 2012 and even 2011. I kind of wonder if Canadian Immigration just process stuff at random... Seems that way.

I disagree, i am a peq applicant, i applied february 2013 and my status is still application received.
The advantage of peq is only in obtaining your csq faster
Your ecas status may not be a true reflection of your actual status.

I'm talking generally here, based on what I have read on this forum and others. You could be pleasantly surprised.

It seems to me that November and December 2012 applicants are seeing some progress. Many PPR and DM are happening in that time frame (last quarter of 2012). I have seen that trend also in the PVT forum (the French one).

Have you noticed that trend?

It's very random how they handle the applications. I got DM in October and nothing further. However, they never asked me for criminal check from here. I provided one from my country, but they didn't ask me for one from Canada. Only the medical they requested. I've been here for 7 years. Studied and now I've been working for 3 years. We all paid our taxes, in international fees to medical to filing endless paper work for study and work permits. It's going to come, we just have to be patient. It's not easy to say that and do it but we don't have a choice. Best of luck to all and everybody's gonna get their turn. It's a matter of time fellas!

April 2012 - Obtained my CSQ under PEQ
July 24th 2012 - ECAS shows that my application was received
Aug 23rd 2012 - Got an email from Nova Scotia that my PR Application is considered complete at will be sent to Visa Office
Aug 28th 2012 - Medical requested
Aug 31st 2012 - Medical Exam performed
June 18: RPRF requested.
June 18: RPRF paid
Aug 21st 2013: In Process
October 24 2013: Decision Made
Nov 19 2013: still no PPR

My lawyer advised me to send the passport anyway even though I didn't get PPR yet; saying the decision is made at this point, so we may send it and save some time. Anybody ever done that?

We did send an email for the first time since I applied to the VO in Ottawa asking about the status and about the PPR but to this day they did not respond.
Still waiting....

Since you are already in Canada, I would advice you to contact your member of parliament. They sometimes can help use the link below to find him/her.
If you were forgotten, once he/she phones them they would remember you. I wouldn't send my passport without them requesting it.
