Hello,

I received the message below on July 7 and I do not know what to do. I am still yet to receive an ITA. Was this a generic message sent to all applicants? I need some clarification please and thank you.

Thank you for submitting an Express Entry profile. You are now a candidate in the pool.

We would like to inform you of recent changes to the Express Entry requirements for the Immigration Medical Examination (IME).

As of July 7, 2022, if you receive an invitation to apply (ITA), an upfront Immigration Medical Examination (IME) is required as part of your application, whether you are in Canada or outside of Canada. Your family members, must also have their IME results, even if they aren’t coming with you.
Thank you for your cooperation,

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Before July 7, 2022, only those Express Entry applicants who where inside Canada had to do Upfront Medical. However, IRCC changed this policy. They now expect even outside-Canada applicants to do the examination. So basically everyone needs an upfront medical before they consider an ITA.

Anyone in the pool without a medical would get that message.

If you want but it's only valid for 12 months. I would weigh my options as it might expire before you get PR.

You still have the option of waiting for the ITA.

It was a generic message so the wording isn't great
