FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER--UNEMPLOYED

Hi everybody,


I qualify for the FSW programme. I have 69 Points and I worked as Restaurant General Manager in United Kingdom for 6 years. I have IELTS(Band 8), Degree Transcripts from India, Police Certificates from UK,USA,INDIAN Embassy, Reference letters from my past employers.

Currently I am on H4 in US (Dependent Visa) and my wife is working on H1B as Healthcare worker for the past 1 year. As a H4 Visa holder I am not entitled to work.

Please advise as to what do I mention in my current occupation: Unemployed ???

be truthful.. write unemployed...


remember that you may have to get your PCCs done again as the PCC expires within 3 months from he date of issue. These 3 months are calculated backward from the date when you file your final application.

In case, you got your PCCs recently, rush to submit, so that you are able to submit final pack within 3 months of all PCCs.

Hi varma or anyone else. Do u have any update on the situation?
My case is that I applied in march 2010 and my case got approved as I had 8 years
Of expensive. Then my wife got a job offer in usaand we moved here in november 2010.
I took 1 year unearned and 4 monhs earned leave from my company and eventually emailedmy resignation in april 2012. I recently got email from canadian embassy in France to send updated forms, pay visa fee , medical
And police certificates. I am confused what to show now as I am on h4 visa and obviously unemployed since thr visa does not alllow me to work in usa.
Suggestions anyone please?????
