Hey all,

I would like you help to clarify some things about the 6 Selection Factors under the FSWP.

According to the website, 67 points re required to be eligible for the FSWP program.
That is even before being assigned with a CRS score.

One way to get more points and secure the 67 needed, is to state more professional experience.
2-3 years, 4-5 years, 6 or more.

My question is - Suppose I state "6 or more" - Will I be later required to provide letters of reference for all
these years post ITA (hopefully) ??
After all, 3 years are enough to get the max points for FSWP. More doesn't really help.

WDYT?

No you will not be required to provide supporting documents. The 6 yrs or more is for determining your MEC only.

For EE the max points you get is up-to 3 yrs foreign work exp in the last 10 yrs.
So when you create the profile please ensure that you have ref letters for the for those jobs only. The rest of the work exp, post the ITA in your application can go in the peronsal folder and you do not have to provide any reference for these work experience

Thank you for you reply :)
Could you kindly clarify something for me, as I'm not sure I understood what you wrote -

Upon creating my EE profile ---> I can specify "6 or more years" under work experience. This will give me the extra points for the selection factors.
Later, when receiving an ITA ---> I will only need to provide letters for 3 years out of any that I claimed

Am I correct?

* Of course this needs to be in the last 10 years, yes. Older experience won't count

My next question then will be -
The number of experience years I claim should refer only to my claimed NOC, correct? Any other skilled work experience doesn't count, as long as it doesn't comply with the same NOC. Correct?

Thank you so much

I think that you should write the information where you can provide solid proof because after you were issued an ITA you have to provide documents that will justify your claims. If you feel that the said experiences will have an impact on the CRS score during verification, then don't write it there.
