I am applying for Permanent Residency this October. I started work in Canada on September 11th 2017 and will be finishing up with my full-time contract on October 11th 2017.

I originally thought that I would be eligible for the CEC but there is a chance IRCC may raise doubts over "Canadian" experience if I consider the fact that I took 5 weeks worth of business trips abroad during this time. Under the Federal Skilled Worker program, this appears not to be an issue as long as the work is continuous. Therefore, I'm considering applying under this program.

My question is about continuity. Is that only for one year or do all years of work experience have to be at least a continuous year? Can I claim work experience for 2-3 years with this profile:
  • Company A (full time internship): June 12th 2015 to September 3rd 2015
  • Company A (full time in the USA): August 1st 2016 to July 11th 2017
  • Company A (full time in Canada): September 11th 2017 to October 11th 2017
Thanks so much!
