Hey BM, what happened to your account? hope everything gets resolved...by the way I'm still gathering my last papers to see if I can submit my documents this or next week, wish you guys great luck...and a little tip make sure you read over and over and over the list of the papers you have to submit I only had three left and it has taken me about a month to gather them, even the ones you think are the simplest turn out to be a pain heheheeheh...again great luck everyone....

Just download ur visa office checklist, through "Visa Office Specific Requirements" link provided at CIC.gc.ca. On this checklist it would be clearly mentioned that which documents to be sent original or photocopies.
For return of documents, i cant give any comments......but obviously original documents have to be returned by CHC & this is what i have read on other threads. But i also noted that some people were facing problems as their original docs were with CHC & they needed the same docs to be presented for some other purpose. So bottom line download checklist & evaluate ur situation.

I WAS JUST CHECKING THE DATES FOR MOST OF THE PREVIOUS MONTHS SINCE MY DATE IS @ 08TH FEB...I THINK I WILL GET AOR @ OR BEFORE 15TH APR...IF WE GET BEFORE THAT I THANK THATS A BONUS....BECAUSE THEY ARE TAKING @ 65 - 70 DAYS FOR 70% OF THE CASES...MY SMALL CALCULATION...

No one knows unless they work for IELTS themselves. Every IELTS module too has diferrent way of grading... like the speaking and writing part - you cant count the number of mistakes or errors and give out the exact score you will get its highly subjective.

We dont know the raw scores are so we will not know their way of grading it.

The only measure I can have is like i THINK I am wrong on atleast two (2) questions on listening yet I only got 7.5 on it. on Reading atleast 3 wrong answers and i got 7.5 too.

so they are only estimates...

just make your own conclusions out of it.

My designated email account has been hacked so I cant see If i got the AOR or NOT.. So tough luck but I guess I just wait for my credit card to get charged and for the post-mail copy of the AOR or resend application..

your e-mail account was hacked? that's very sad to know. try to retrieve your account by recalling your answers to all secret personal questions. that's what i did.
i had the same experience myself and what a very bad timing indeed! just when I am expecting my AOR. i managed to retrieve my account four days before I received my AOR.

i would like to share my own experience of hacking. in march 8, 2010 i got an email from a certain yahoo database center requesting me to provide them the password and username of my email address as they are trying to decongest yahoo website from inactive users. the message said my account would be deleted from the database if i am not going to provide them the details as that would mean my account is dormant.

since i was waiting for my AOR because i am expecting it to come within the same week, i gave my details. i thought it was a legitimate message from yahoo since the sender is yahoodatabasecenter32@yahoo.com.

a day after that, my friends all over the globe sent text messages to me verifying whether it's true that I got stranded in London and asking for money to pay my hotel bills as my wallet and credit cards were stolen! apparently, the hacker used my e-mail account to send that message to all my contacts. and he changed my password such that i was unable to open my account for 2 days. luckily, i was able to retrieve it by recalling the answers to my secret personal questions. i changed my password since then.

may this serve a lesson to everyone who is very excited on their AOR's! don't give your password and username to anybody you do not know!
