If you are applying under the AINP H1B you don't need to take any English test and you don't need anything from you employer, just the pay stubs (which you should have anyways) and a letter with your company's logo describing your position and occupation. You don't have to tell your employer that you're applying for this program at all. Now, there are some limitations as far as the occupations accepted. When I applied there were no limitations and I applied as a system analyst/programmer. Today this occupation and many computer occupations are no long available. Now they're looking more for engineers (not computer) for example. There are some forms you need to fill and the application for this part of the program is free of charges. I don't know about the detail now, a few things have changed since February, but post your questions in the forum and people will be glad to help you. Also, look for the program Website there are tones of resources very helpful that will get you started. Do a search on the forum and you will find help.

Good luck
