HI GUYS,

I'm here to get some realistic advice concerning my file. I am sponsoring my husband from the UK, however there are a few red flags I'm frightened of.

In papers he is 3 years younger than me (he is actually 8 months younger than me, but he cant change passports and school documents at this time)

I am previously divorced

We had a very small wedding, with no family. I am an orphan and his only living family, his mother, lives in India and did not have travel documents to travel to London where we got married. I also have one sister, but she could not come because of being terminally ill.

Othewise we have similar educational, ethnic and religious backgrounds. I filed with an immigration lawyer, who submitted a lot of pictures from the wedding and going out and he seemed optimistic. But I'm wondering if anyone has any comments or advice?

Thanks!
Sonia

First of all, 3 years isn't that bad. My husband is 2 years older than me.

Second of all, did you include your divorce certificate? They will need that.

Third of all, small wedding or not, as long as you had SOME people there(friends) you should be okay. You needed at least two witnesses anyway. My wedding we had a grand total of 11 people, not including myself and my husband.

Don't worry so much, it seems like your case is fairly straight forward! :) Good luck!

3 year or 13 year younger husband is not a problem if he is over 18 year of age .

I have seen 25 year old nigerian student get married to 45 year old British lady with (18, 22 ,28 year old Childern) and he got his dependent visa .

Wedding photo doesnot matter, only thing matter is your marriage certificate , If that is registered then even better. Nor they even care how many people attend your marriage , western culture is about living relationship , if you live with any human (even same sex partner) in marrige like relation for 2 year together then that can be enough regardless you get married or not.

You need to proof your relationship by bank statement at same address, your passport showing his name endorsed , your driving licence if on married name .

Few old email , even itemised phone bills showing you both in contact .

Show them how long you know each other, but please provide your divorce certificate .

To be honest if someone relation ship is genuine then they got lot of evidences and visa officer are wise enough to guess that.
Don't afraid , inshallah everything will be fine , submit as many evidences you can, may be any useless thing can be of enough convincing you relation ship to VO resulting in approval your your husband visa

3 years won't matter. Neither will the fact you are divorced - unless this is an arranged marriage.
We had a very small wedding, with no family. I am an orphan and his only living family, his mother, lives in India and did not have travel documents to travel to London where we got married. I also have one sister, but she could not come because of being terminally ill.
These are legitimate reasons for a small wedding. Just explain in your application and offer proof.
