Fbi report

I just got my fbi report n it shows a charge of retail theft. The case was however dismissed in the court. It was in 2012. How will it affect my PR application?
I really need to know. I can't define in what state I'm right now. Help!

You should probably consult an immigration attorney as this might impact your ability to immigrate to Canada under criminal inadmissibility. Of course, if it was dismissed (presume acquitted), there might be nothing to worry. You just need to declare this and attach all the court / police related documents associated with your case. In any case, it is good to have attorney's opinion as they can cross check your case against Canadian laws.
