FBI police clearance from USA

Hello everyone,

Hope you are are doing well. I have a question, me and my wife are applying for Express Entry to Canada from Pakistan, we have lived in USA from 2014-2017 for studies and we need FBI police verification. According to FBI website, if we mail our fingerprints via mail, it will take a long time to process and might get 14 weeks time. If we will get our ITA they will only give us 3 months time to submit medical and police reports.

Now the questions are:

1- How long FBI will take to get police clearance via mail, or is there any way to expedite that process?

2- When ITA will come, we will only have 3 months time, in that case we have two police verifications to submit one from Pakistan (our current place) and one from America (past). Can I get american verification now and submit it when ITA comes, because I know we need current (not less than 3 months) reports from the place we are currently living in. What is the case with the past police verifications?

Please answer my question, I am really confused in this regard.

It takes 3 days to get FBI Backgroud check now, if you go with online option.
They send you copy of report in email as well as a hard copy to your mailing address in the US. Both copies are similar and are accepted by ircc. Just google edo FBI background check u will get the link.

You don't have to wait until ITA to apply for FBI clearance. You can apply it anytime. If you apply online, the process will be quicker but you will still have to send your fingerprints to the US address, i believe. They will send you a soft copy of your FBI report almost immediately after receiving your fingerprint card.
