FBI clearance taking longer than the 90days given for stage 2 of the CIC

Hi guys,

I am freaking out a little. I started my stage 2 of the cic on the 23rd of december but was only notified about the fbi clearance at the start of january so i applied for it on the 7th. The fbi says that it will take up to 12 to 14 weeks which will bring me past the date the cic has given me to finish stage 2 (23rd of march).

It is now the 24th of march and I dont know what to do about the visa I have uploaded a letter telling them what my situation is. I have uploaded this letter to where i would up load my fbi clearance form.

If anyone has any better idea on what to do me tell me.

CIC knows about this and will grant you an extension once they see the letter. Often times people include copies of the courier waybill so CIC can see when you sent it so you may want to upload that too. Keep the e-mail confirmation you get for submitting documents as proof of submission as they often won't reply.

Hi, I am also same position, My Indian PCC didnt come before the april 2(2015) deadline, The embassy, in Vancouver said it will take another 60 to 90 days because my passport was issued in another asian country where i live. I send all the details to CIC asking for another 60 days extension last march 25, through canada post,i tracked, cic received my letter,,, no reply yet from CIC .
