Former non-resident Indian here. Left the US 6 months ago and I'm trying to get my FBI Clearance. I need advice on how to fill out the FD-258. More specifically,
- Where do I find the latest version of the form? Google results and CIC redirects me here. But I also see how-to videos with a form that is completely blue, like this one.
- Would it suffice to print the FD-258 on an A4 sheet with my fingerprints inked ?
- Is it okay to leave the section asking for Signature of Official Taking Fingerprints blank, since I am filling the form myself?
- Is it okay to send multiple forms just in case they aren't happy with one set of fingerprints? I think there's a larger room for error since I'm manually inking my prints on the form.
- Please feel free to share any additional wisdom on related things. Is there a better way to do this? How do I mail my card to the FBI? How long will it take for them to give me a clearance?
