FBI Clearance Certificate?

Good Morning,

My wife who is applying for residence (I am the approved sponsor) submitted an Official FBI Criminal Report from an Official Channeler with her application, but just today we rec'd an email from the Ottowa Pilot stating:

Dear Melissa XXXX XXXXXX:

This is in reference to your application to go to Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Ø If your residence period in the USA has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original FBI clearance certificate.

I emailed them back with a copy of the FBI Criminal Report attached, but is a "Clearance Certificate" different from a Criminal Report? The channeler had not heard of this certificate.

Any thoughts?

I realized the letter from FBI does not say whether it is police certificate or clearance certificate.

My FBI letter says

The Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation has completed the following fingerprint submission:


Just to make sure did your application was received within 3 months of FBI letter?
