Father's name discrepancy on spouse's passport and her father's passport

Hi guys,

My spouse's father's name on her passport is "Amarjit Singh"(NO surname), while on her father's passport, its written as "Amarjit Singh Arneja"(surname as Arneja). On her birth certificate too, it's written as "Amarjit Singh".

My query is:
Should we mention his name with Surname or without it?

Yes, I thought the same. He already has his Canadian visitor visa and could be verified from there as well.
