Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Father is a Citizen/ Mother-Out Of Status...Can Father receive Child benefit tax? Child is also a Canadian citizen born in Canada...Anyone has any experience applying for Child Benefits where Father is the primary applicant?

I am not the primary applicant, but "YES" you can. Only one of you has to have been a Canadian citizen or PR for at least 18 months. The child "lives" with you right?

The Child Tax Benefit is the evolution of what used to be the Child Tax Credit. It is by no means considered "social assistance" or WELFARE, (I'm assuming that is what you are worried about). "YES" you can. The child is "living" with you, right?

Can I also receive subsidy for child care for my son if I work, or is that considered social assistance????

What exactly do you mean by "subsidy"? There are 'care-giver' tax credits available, but that's ONLY if you "employ" a care-giver.

No, what i mean is child care subsidy that is given to working parents to cover the cost of daycare of the child. If i am working or want to work and unable to pay for daycare for my child the government will cover the cost of the daycare up to a certain amount. is that ok to receive or is that social assistance ????
