Father a Canuck am I eligilbe for dual citizenship

My father was born in Montreal in 1916 where he lived until he was 5 when his parents (who were Scots) moved to Detroit. He became an American citizen when he joined the Army in 1941.
I was born in the U.S. in 1947. Am I eligible for dual citizenship ??
