Fasting NOT required in Medical exam?

Hi Guys,

I just called for my medical appointment. It's my first time to hear that I do not need to "fast"/"fasting" prior medical exam. All the while I thought it's always required especially when they are extracting blood samples.

Is this the same case as yours?

Usually fasting is required when your blood test is to be done for blood sugar and cholesterol levels (Lipids study). For Canada Immigration medical, such tests are not important. That is the reason for fasting not required. If you fast and go there is no problem. That is up to you.

the most important thing is # to drink plenty of water through the day before test ( 4 L / 24 hours ) & the day of test

other 1- take alittle fatfor 3 days
2- little sweets
3- good luck
