Hi, Here is my query, could you please help me with this
I am an international student currently, expecting to be graduated in Dec 2024. This is a one year diploma course so I will be getting one year post graduate work permit.
I have two offers in hand and iam confused which one to choose which can eventually lead to be a PR in canada.
Option 1 - job offer for the position of a Nursing Admin Assistant in a rural area with no LMIA in Alberta
Option 2 - job offer for the position of a farm worker in a pork barn in Alberta with a confirmed LMIA in the future

Option 1 - i have been working as a clerk in the same organisation as a part time casual student job
Option 2 - I have worked in India while i was doing my IT job. I did this farming job for 5 years, though it was not precisely pork, it was chicken , sheep and Rabbits.

Questions are:
1. which would be best option for me to choose, so i can convert this in to PR
2. if I go with Option 1 - the Rural renewal stream for that area is on pause and we do not know when will they reopen it. how can we know the status of rural renewal stream?
3. If i go with Option 2 - How long do i need to work on LMIA to be qualified to apply for the PR?
4. Do you suggest me applying for my family (wife + 2 kids) visa while on work permit or once i get the LMIA?

Thank you
Prad

1. There is no conversion to PR. Research Express Entry and see if your score is high enough. Then research PNPs.
2. Wait to see if RRS reopens but it may with very limited numbers. Also most communities focused on specific NOC. You will know if there is an announcement.
3. Depends on your score. Even with LMIA you may not have enough points.
4. Your choice. Apply now and see what happens.
