Family Sponsorship - Police Certificates

Hello,

I have applied for my parents sponsorship and need to provide police certificates to CIC. My parents live in Pakistan However my Mom is in UK to visit my brother would it be acceptable by CIC if i obtain her police certificate from Pakistan while she is in Lodon UK or she has to be present in the counrty(Pakistan) when police certificate is obtained?

Your mother does not need to be present, but countries vary in who they will provide the criminal records checks to. In most cases, they need to do so personally with valid photo ID. Check in the Pakistani thread for country specific information.

In addition, if your mother has visited the UK for more than 6 months continuously, she would need to provide a police certificate from the UK as well.
