Family Sponsorship - Lonely Canadian

Hi! Looking to see if I qualify to be sponsored in the Family Class under Lonely Canadian stream. The sponsor would be my great aunt (74) who I’m very close with. (Her father was my great grandfather). She is a Canadian citizen and does not don't have a living relative such as a:

• spouse
• common-law partner
• conjugal partner
• son or daughter
• parent
• grandparent
• orphaned brother or sister
• orphaned nephew or niece
• ◦ orphaned grandchild

She does however have a cousin who she sponsored more than 20 years ago and is now a Canadian citizen himself.

1. Would she be able to sponsor another relative (me) if she has already sponsored one in the past and that cousin is now living in Canada?

2. Is my relation to my great aunt too distant to qualify, i.e. as I’m her grand niece not a niece?

If she sponsored someone 20 years ago and person is citizen then she is not a “Lonely Canadian”. Plus she is not your aunt and believe too far removed. How would she meet LICO at her age unless she still works full time.
