Family Sponsorship From Pakistan - Waiting Time

My refugee claim accepted in Feb-2014
Applied for PR in March-2014 along with family
We received two separate letters One for my Medical and Second for my spouse to submit all required documents along with original of (Birth, Police, Family Record, Marriage and Academics) which we submitted on time to CHC Islamabad - I got my PR card but I haven't heard any thing back about my spouse and kids - I can see the online status show that we Received application on March-2014
Dose any one know what I can do to find out more - do I need to contact Islamabad or London for further inquires - please advice

Yes - I am been granted PR in Aug-2015 - but there is no news about my Family
We have already submitted what they asked for in April-2015
Please advice if someone got a clue

for the dependents living abroad of a refugee there is no timeline specified/defined (it is not a sponsorship application). family sponsorship category is all the way a different category. You have not sponsored your wife and kids rather you have just included them in your PR application so generally your dependents should get their PR visa issued after ( or almost at the same time) you get your COPR (confirmation of permanent residence).

CIC says that they will process the dependents living abroad concurrently:

"The concurrent processing of family members who are not at the same location as the principal applicant is important in family reunification. When the officer becomes aware that family members have been separated but can be located or are being processed at another visa office, every effort should be made to process the cases concurrently. The cases should be cross-referenced. The family members will derive their status from the principal applicant. All applicants should be examined and have visas issued at the same time."

You got your PR in August so technically it should take arround 2-5 months for your family to get a PR visa.
So best advice would be to keep a follow up of your case instead of just waiting as their is no defined processing timeline of such cases. when the new government take its office and the new CIC minister will be announced so it will be the best time to contact your local MP and discuss this issue with him. he may be helpful in many ways. sometimes due to bureaucratic negligence files get hidden in load of many others and your local MP inquiry may trigger it back to processing OR at least you will know at what stage their case is right now in Islamabad consulate. keep pinging them through a proper channel you may be successful in getting re-united with your family. just sending an email to Islamabad wont help that much because you will only get generic reply after few months that the case is under process and they will advice you to re-contact them after several months.

My refugee case was accepted ka may 13 2013 then I applied my pr application , my pr application was accepted on 13 nov2013 and cic said to me that your family submitt there file at Islamabad pak within two month so my wife (with 3 kids) submitted her file.6 Augest 2014 I have received my PR in Canada but I my family is still waiting of visa. On line status shows in process from 5 , feb 2015, but after that no any response from cic isb. All refugee cases are still at isb did not move to uk London , because I applied three time GCM notes and my visa office is Islamabad pak. I contact four time to cic isb but they are very lazy , he did like to answer my any e- mail .when I contact to uk London cic office he said your file is not in our office. Ok best luck. Naveed

I know it is frustrating and the previous government didn't care much about issues related to protect person/refugees and family re-union. i know few other protected person who got their PR long time ago and they are still waiting for the loved one to be processed. Anyhow the new government seems to be more human oriented and they will surely take steps to re-unite families (that's what they have promised).

Islamabad visa office is responsible for your family case, so dont panic or wait to see your file gone to london office as london office only take care of Self-employed, Start-up visa, Quebec-selected skilled worker, PNP and family sponsorship applications from Pakistan. Your family case does not fall into any of these category.

CIC has no define timeline for families abroad of a protected person they only say they will process them concurrently and as soon as the principle applicant gets PR status.

Your best course of action can be to contact your local PM and discuss your case with him. ONLY he will be able to exactly inquire about your case and can help you in this regard.

I am totally confused
The London Office says - They are not handling my Family Application
The Islamabad Office is not replying to any of my query
The CIC Customer service representative suggest that I should write to Vegreville, AB, Case officer
Please advice whom should I contact - I heard that there is a form and a legal fee that I can submit to find out my case status exactly - please advice
