I just received this email from immigration today please anyone explain for me what its mean.


Your file has now been reviewed and it has been decided that your humanitarian & compassionate grounds outweigh your failed eligibility. Your application has therefore progressed to the next stage. This involves background checks. We are unable to give you a timeframe as to how long these checks will take, but we will be in touch once they are completed.

Sounds like you appealed against an earlier rejection. They are saying that they are progressing your application for reasons of H&C. They only instigate background checks as the last step before approval. So unless you have some criminal record or terrorist connections, you are likely to be approved (likely to be 'weeks' yet though).

hi I would like some information in my husband case I sponsor him on January 2017 in his case is still in process in visa office.

Background checks are currently ongoing on this application.

As these checks are conducted by partner agencies, we unfortunately have no control over how long they take to complete but based on recent processing time we would expect it may take 6 to 12 months.
