Did you get married in Canada? Small weddings are not uncommon in Canada. Many have just a civil ceremony. What CIC goes by is what is the cultural norm of where you are from. For example, if you and your wife is South Asian, CIC expects a large wedding because that is the cultural norm and it has to be explained why you went against the norm.

I advise you that wedding is not spelled as weeding.. kidding aside you are fine, they don't need extravagant weddings with 200 people to prove your relationship is real. Send photos of your trips/dates together and joint bank account/ rental lease/ joint credit card etc. Good luck.
