Hi Leon,

Would appreciate your assistance on the following issue.

I have my Aunt ( Mother’s Sister ) in Canada, she is a citizen of Canada for 40+ years now. At present she is not employed but she has enough money that she does not require to do a job and takes care of her old parents.

The concern is, I want to know if she can sponsor visa to my Fiancee ( Not Married Yet ) for coming to Canada, Currently my fiancée is working in Dubai in a hospital as Medical transcriptionist. Kindly let me know the procedure and also the charges and the duration of the process. Also is IELTS exam required for this case.

Thanks & Regards
Cypriyan

It sounds like you are asking about a TRV (tourist visa) for your fiancee. If so, you should post your question to the Visitor section of the forum to get the best answers.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/visitors-b8.0/

This section of the forum is for Canadians who are sponsoring family members for permanent residency.

If she wants to work in Canada then she will first have to obtain a full time job offer from an employer in Canada. Next, the employer will have to obtain an approved LMIA (permission to hire a foreign worker). Once your fiancee has the job offer and approved LMIA, she will be able to apply for a closed work permit.
