I m working in canada on closed workpermit

Situation is that,

• My wife has visitor visa
• My son (12yrs) has no visitor visa (due to new passport)

Right now both are in india

I WANT TO MOVE THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Due to covid,

Spousal application takes 12 months and visitor visa application takes 250 days processing time from india.

Am i eligible to family reunification under covid 19 policy ?

Should I apply visitor visa for my child or apply spousal visa ?

Which application will be best for me ?

First if you are on a closed work permit, you aren’t PR so you can’t sponsor your spouse. Your child needs a visitor visa so that is the first step. Your child doesn’t get expedited processing so expect 8+ months. apply for written authorization to travel for both your spouse and child.
