Hello,

I am an Indian citizen sponsored under the family category by my canadian wife. My wife submitted the PR applications in Canada in July 2010 and my application has now been transferred to New Delhi. I have a letter from the Canadian High Commission in Delhi asking me to submit police clearance certificates, payment of right of permanent resident fee [landing fee] and the original passport along with all old expired passports. There is no mention of medical certificate to submit. I have not sumbitted my medical certificate. Can I get the medical certificate done at a prescribed clinic and request it to be sent to Canadian high commission? Is the procedure/policy changed now with medical certificate? Kindly advise. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Ohcanada..

Re: Family PR Application @ New Delhi, India

You have to go to a designated medical dr that immigration approves of, you can not go to just any doctor. The immigration approved dr will automatically send the results to Delhi and give you a tracking number so you can see when its delivered. I think they send them once a week to Delhi. Not sure. I think they mail them on mondays to Delhi. Once the tests are done, you will be given a receipt showing you had your medical done. You can fax the receipt to Delhi if you like. You can go to the Canadian immigration website and see what drs there are for your area.
