Dear Experts

My friend with family of 5 members are traveling to Canada on 24 April 2015 whereas the expiry date on the PR Card is 29 April 2015, my question is that whether they will be allowed to enter PoE having the auto PR Card Scanners. They don't meet the RO as they did not stay more than 100 days in the past 5 years.
Please tell me what are their chances of entering into Canada without being reported as they want to stay there now permanently for the children's education.
Appreciate your response.

Thanks

Unfortunately no one can tell you what the chances are that you and your family will be able to re-enter Canada without issues.

Good luck - I hope it works out for you.

They'll be allowed to enter for sure, won't they? They are still PR but they might be reported for breaching the RO...

Yup, they will definitely be let in. As you said, the real issue is if they get reported and investigated by CIC (and potentially lose their PR)

Thank you all those replied to this post.
I want to know by those who have been in similar situation and what was the result at the PoE. The family don't want to be in a situation where they will be reported but they want to be allowed unreported so that they will continue to stay and fulfill the residency obligation requirement and renew the PR cards.
I still need the response from our learned forum members who are close to the actions of CBSA officials and can predict whether reported or not reported.
Thanks

I'm not sure anyone can predict anything because there are so many variables. Sometimes it is just the particular CBSA officer you are talking to is simply in a bad mood and thus giving people a hard time. There has been cases where the same person was visiting Canada multiple times and told the same story each time and some officers just let her in no problem while others gave her a hard time.
