My wife ANNA SINGH, (Not her actual name) and I had applied for our Canadian Visitors Visa at IRCC Online and Submitted our documents on Feb 10th 2024.

I became the family member representative as spouse of the second applicant ANNA SINGH (Not her actual name)
We both recd our Biometric Instruction Letter same day.

However I have observed that Anna's Name is mentioned as ‘ANNA SINGH ANNA SINGH’ in the Instruction letter.

Whereas her actual name is simply ANNA SINGH as mentioned in the passport and everywhere else ( ie: without Surname)

I can understand that this error could have been made due to an incorrectly typed information by us in her Application Form IMM 5257e.
I suppose when we filled the form, we put ANNA SINGH in Family name (as it was Mandatory) and also in Given Name as we guessed that since our Passport mentioned her given name as ANNA SINGH, we should fill up the Given Name Column as well.

Our LAST DATE TO APPLY FOR BIOMETRICS IS 10TH MARCH.
Anyone been in same Situation ?

As such there was no issue by the VFS team which issues Canadian visa's in India.
However you can generate a simple web form and let them know of the problem and everything will be resolved.
Even if you don't let them know through a web form when you reach the Canadian Visa centre just inform them of this glitch.
All the best

Unfortunately that's not what happened. I schedule my biometric appointment but when I went there they said I need to correct my name and then only will be able to take my biometrics.
They even offered a service of INR 3890 something to fix it but I refused and 2nd option they gave was to fill the web form first, get it rectified and reschedule the appointment. Although I have filled web form now but my last date to get the biometrics done is 2 July and I am not sure what will happen next. Will I get a new biometric letter? Will IRCC even reply to my web form since my biometric letter is already generated? I am not sure of the next steps.
