My wife is applying for Provincial Nomination in Nova Scotia as skilled worker to be PR by the end of this year 2012, can she sponsor me at the same time with her application. Im a U.S citizen and we got married few months ago in Nova Scotia, my 6months visit in Nova Scotia is over so i had to step out of canada, staying in the USA for now. I just want to know what supporting documents i need and what IMM forms should i use so i can print & sign it and send it to her if needed, its hard to be away with your wife. And also do you recommend me waiting here in the USA or Fly back to canada and wait for the processing there? Any advice anyone ......Thanks to all

Because you are married, your wife will have to include you on her application. To prove you are married, you need a copy of your marriage certificate.

Would you like to join your wife sooner? Does she have a skilled job? If she has a skilled job, you can apply for an open work permit based on her permit.

Thanks Leon, may i ask what form should i used since there to many types.....and also what form does my spouse need in the states to print out sign... does he need to take medical exam....

You should really be posting your questions to the Provincial Nominee section of this forum. The section of the forum you are posting in now is for Canadians who are sponsoring their spouses. You'll get more/better responses in the Provincial Nominee section:

Have you already applied for your PNP nomination, before or after you were married? Did you include your husband on your application? If you did not include and have already applied, you contact the PNP, tell them that you are married and you would like to include your husband. If you did not already apply, include your husband on the forms when you fill them out. If you did apply and include him, no worries.

When you get your nomination and apply for PR, include your husband on the PR application forms. Read the instructions as to which forms are needed. He will need to fill out forms himself and do a medical.

Thanks, we were married before i filled up the form. And what forms do my husband need to fill out because its 2013 and may be theres new forms out there
