Family Class Inland Sponsorship - New Passport after submission of application

Hello, I sent an application for family sponsorship for spouse in Canada class and I have renewed my passport after submission. I have already sent CIC a copy of my new one via web form. My question is, do i need to resend the forms that I have submitted since it contained the old passport number or is the copy of the passport sufficient?
