Hi folks, I'm kinda hesitant what to do...

1. What happens if you don't notify cic of travel plans? (and your mailbox is checked regularly by someone else for you)
I need to leave for a bit more than 2 weeks and I'm afraid if I notify, then my application will be delayed by months. My parents check my mailbox regularly.

2. Will notifying delay processing of your file?
Any examples when it did NOT delay the processing?

Two weeks is just two weeks, no need to notify them for 2 weeks. Should they send test invite in most cases that test invite is 3 to 4 weeks from the date of the letter. However, some people have theres in 2 weeks. You would just need to go do you thing and let the person who checking your mails keeps you update the moment you arrive in the country your going.

agree, I was on my vacation when I get my test invites, I have a trusted fried who open my letters during my vacation and she informed me that my test is this date.... so while on abroad I start studying through online test and books before coming back to Canada. Everything went well ;o)

If you follow the rule, then you don't have to come up with excuses about why you didn't inform them (in case you get asked about it). Always follow the rule to be on the safe side.
