Hi,

I lived and worked in Canada for 3 years, awaiting my result on a refugee claim. My claim was denied and I decided to leave Canada voluntarily. I want to go back as a permanent resident with my family. Please advise me what my options will be.

Regards.

It's impossible to say what your options are without a great deal more information. When did you leave Canada? How many months/years of experience do you have working full time in Canada? Was it in a skilled occupation? In which province? Do you have any family here who are citizens or PRs? If so, what province? What about your spouse (if you have one)? Any work experience in Canada. What about the work experience and education you obtained before coming to Canada?

I was working and living in Canada as from 14 June 2009 to 16 April 2012. I was in a skilled job, though I dont have any certificates or anything. Its purely based on experience. I dont have any relatives in Canada, only friends that are Canadian citizens since the early 90's. My wife(currently in a divorce action) has no Canadian experience. I was an Account Payable Clerk before I came to Canada.

What do you suggest I do?

I was Refugee Claimant too. I lived in Canada from 2003 until 2005. I left Canada and applied on Sep 2010 under QSW. I received medical examinations last week. Now I'm waiting form vbisa stamps.

What kind of skilled job did you do in Canada? I don't know about the refugee claim part, but the main requirement for the CEC class is your work experience must have been authorized (i.e. you had a work permit).

If you were an accounts payable clerk in Canada, then that could likely fall under NOC 1431 (Accounting and related clerks).

That is considered a skill level C job, and not considered skill labour for the Canadian Experience Class. (Must be Skill level A or B, or Skill type 0).
