Extreme Delay in processing visitor extension within CANADA

Hi All
Greatly appreciate you feedback.

It has been almost more then 10 month since I applied for an extension of visitor for my mom.
I has done it twice previous as we has a new born baby.

I send in all the document and reason for her extension along with medical insurance with a request to extend her stay for 1 year.
I have no update on the application after 10 month.

I has a conversation with cic and they told me they are inquiring something and they didn't tell me about what? but told me will be updated soon in few weeks. Today I is more than a month now.

I am very confused. Please help.

Few of my questions are:
a. Are they going to inquire back home in my country, is this why it is taking too long?
b. I check to the medical insurance company here in canada they said they have not received any inquiry from them. I can check with my bank and other place as well.
b. what if we withdraw the application and let me mom go back home. What happens then?

there's nothing you can do about it for now, No one knows what's going on except the CIC. The only way is to wait for their advice and decision.
I think for visitor extension for parents they are required to submit medical exam. (based on the previous thread here)
If your mom is denied, she must leave Canada as soon as possible to avoid problems when she tries to return in the future.
It's good thing you phoned them to update the status. Try to call them after a week or two if still no update.
