Hi guys,

I hope one of you can help me. I submitted my application for a BOWP last Wednesday online. To upload it online, I had to complete a wizard confirming that I'm eligible to apply. When I got to the final screen, it gave me 2 options I could apply under - I could apply to stay on in Canada or apply for a new temporary work permit. I had read that I should choose the temporary work permit option so I went with that.

When I got through to the upload stage, I filled in the form IMM5710E but I was also asked to fill a form called 'Schedule 1 - Application for Temporary Resident Visa'. My flatmate applied 3 weeks before me and wasn't asked for this.

I'm pretty worried as my current IEC expires at the start of Sept. I’m hoping that if I chose the wrong option of the 2 possibilities that came up, they’ll just overlook it, as I had the other correct form filled in. Has anyone had this happen to them? Do you think I should be trying to get in touch with immigration to rectify this?

Thanks in advance for your help as I'm quite worried about this!

yes, you need to submit schedule 1 form as well. it is very simple to fill in. I got my BOWP in 27 days. It was very fast I think.
