got six months visa & want to know if i gat an extension
if yes how long ? tks

Hi Caribbean, yes! you can extend your status as visitor provided that you have to apply for extention. The extention will depends on your circumtances, assuming you are married and your spouse is working in Canada, the officer will most likely give you at least 6 months or a year of extention but this scenario will depends on the status of your spouse in Canada. If you are single and you have enough money to spend for the next few months or so, you need to show a proof of savings, the extention will be vary to your documents recieved by the officer.

If that's your case, you need a letter from your Aunt stating that she is responsible for your food and accomadations during your stay, at least 2 consecutive pay stub or a bank certification then attached to your application. GOOD LUCK!

HELLO EVERYONE.I'M FROM GREECE AND I WANT TO WORK AND LIVE IN CANADA.I HAVE SOME CLOSE FRIENDS IN ALBERTA WHO ARE WILLING TO GUARANTEE FOR US IN THE STATE.I'M 31 YEARS OLD AND I'M A FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHER.I'M MARRIED AND I HAVE A NINE-YEAR-OLD SON.IF I GO AS A VISITOR AND FIND A JOB THERE WILL I BE ABLE TO EXTEND MY STAYING THERE AND FOR HOW LONG?WILL MY SON BE ABLE TO GO TO A SCHOOL?AFTER THE SIX MONTHS STAYING WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO IN ORDER NOT TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY AND LIVE THERE LEGALLY?I NEED TO GO THERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.IF ANYONE COULD HELP ME PLEASE FEEL FREE TO DO SO.THATK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE
